The microcontroller based engine management system (ECU) is specific to the company's turbine designs. Operating procedures have been automated ensure that the engine remains within its normal limits. During operation the controller monitors engine temperature and pressure to check that it is in a safe working condition. This reduces the possibilities of turbine damage due to operator error.
With additional software the ECU will communicate directly with a computer and can also be controlled via an RS232 lead connected to onboard flight systems.
Please be aware that the specifications provided are just guidelines. To allow the ECU to remain compatible with our engine designs it is under a continuous development program, however, up to date figures can be provided on request.
