Turbo-Shaft
The standard HF range of engines has the facility to be developed into shaft power units. By translating the high speed free turbine to a lower speed drive-train,k which can be customised to individual specifications, combined with the compact desighn, low weight and multi-fuel capability, the resulting Turbo-Shaft unit is ideal for many specialist applications, e.g., helicopter power transmission and power generation.
The E.C.U. for these units can be modified to provide automatic constant output shaft speed, simplifying the flight controls for ease of operation.
